A Polyamorous Story

One misconception leveled at bisexuals is that if we are attracted to both men and women, we must be polyamorous.  This may be true for a small number of bisexuals, but most of us just want to be in a loving relationship like a majority of people in the world.

Besides, polyamory isn't only for bisexuals.  Polyamory has existed in the heterosexual world for millenia.  It also exists in the homosexual world.

An interesting story came across my radar earlier today: a story of a closed polyamorous relationship between three gay men in New York City.  Here's the video:

While the entire thing is fascinating to me, what I found most interesting is how intolerant their gay friends were and how unwilling some of them seemed to be, especially opposed to their straight friends.

I'm usually all for monogamy, but if polyamory works in the way it seems to be working with Franco, Mark, and Vinny, then maybe I'm not so opposed to the idea after all.

What are your thoughts on this story?  On polyamory in general?

Farley Granger

Farley Granger will never be counted among the greats like Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, or Jimmy Stewart, but he was a successful actor from the golden age of Hollywood nevertheless.
Love the smile.
His best known works are two Alfred Hitchcock films: Rope and Strangers On A Train.  Each one had underlying homosexual themes to them, themes that weren't able to play out as Hitchcock would've liked thanks to the censors of the day.

What is most interesting about Granger is that he was bisexual and was very open about it all of his life.  He had his first sexual experiences with both women and men on the same night during a stint with the Navy while stationed in Hawai`i.  In my opinion, Granger was one lucky devil for having such adventures all in one night.
Gratuitous shirtless photo.
He writes in his autobiography Include Me Out, "I finally came to the conclusion that for me, everything I had done that night was as natural and as good as it felt . . . I never have felt the need to belong to any exclusive, self-defining, or special group . . . I was never ashamed, and I never felt the need to explain or apologize for my relationships to anyone . . . I have loved men.  I have loved women."
Sexy, serious shot.
He had steamy affairs with different women in Hollywood, and indulged with men too.  Eventually, he became partners with Robert Calhoun, a theatre production supervisor, who he met after transferring much of his acting life to Broadway.  The two were partners from 1968 until 2008, when Calhoun died of cancer.
I love that he had his ear pierced during his older years.  Rock on Farley Granger, rock on.
Granger himself died a little over a year ago on 27 March 2011, at the age of 85.  His memoir, Include Me Out, is a very frank account of his career and personal life, and the book was published in 2007.

Mythical Bisexuals: Not As Cool As It May Sound

An old report (from 22 August 2011) from the New York Times states something I and many others knew: bisexuals exist.  Glad a newer study from Northwestern University can help confirm that, even though its methods are still somewhat questionable.  Bisexuality is also very much alive amongst our animal kingdom friends, including the awesome dolphins.

Also, we bisexuals fall victim to a lot of biphobia, and Maria Burnham takes on eight myths concerning bisexual women (although you can change the wording slightly to accomodate men).  Here's the short list:
  1. Bisexuals are just gays with one foot in the closet.
  2. Bisexual women are straight girls having a fun dalliance or two before running off with a penis-swinging man.
  3. Bisexuals are more likely to cheat.
  4. You're not bi unless you go down on girls.
  5. Bisexuals are greedy.
  6. Bisexuals are more likely to carry diseases.
  7. Bisexuals are looking for sex, while lesbians are looking for love.
  8. Bisexuality does not exist.
What's your reaction to these studies?  Surprised at all?

What about the eight myths surrounding bisexuals?  Have you experience any or all of the above biphobic reactions?  I've experienced at least three.  Let me know your story; knowledge is power in taking on biphobia.

Famous And In The Buff

Generally I am not a fan of looking at nude of photos of celebrities/famous people.  There are two reasons why: they are usually of poor quality and often they seem to be an invasion of privacy.

But there are exceptions, and such exceptions usually fall under artistic license.

Case in point: Yul Brynner and Natalia Vodianova.  If you've ever seen The King And I or The Ten Commandments, then you know how sexy Yul Brynner was.  Natalia Vodianova is best known as a Russian supermodel whose face graces many pages of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and other publications and various catwalks.

First, Yul Brynner in all his (uncut and full head of hair) glory.

Now for the sleek Natalia.

Praise for Maria Burnham

A few months ago I discovered Maria Burnham over at The Huffington Post.  Frank and straightforward, Burnham writes from the perspective of a bisexual woman and her reflections are on being bisexual and dealing with all its joys and problems, especially biphobia.  I have found that most of what she writes reflects my own struggles with being bisexual, especially with biphobia from both the heterosexual and homosexual communities.

Burnham also pens the webcomic Jesus Loves Lesbians Too.  This comic fictionalizes many of Burnham's experiences as a bisexual woman and attempts to find humor in every situation.
Check it out!

Welcome, Or Is It Welcum?

Welcome to Bisexual Baron, a place where I get to express my (bi)sexuality freely, connect with others, especially guys, who want to do the same, and have some (safe and respectful) fun along the way.

I'll talk about porn, kinks, and fantasies, discuss common lives of bisexuals, especially males, and even do a little advocacy along the way because I feel like bisexuals are a discriminated minority among the larger grouping of minority sexual orientations.  I'd love to hear back from readers in the comments, and if people want to contribute, I'd happily take suggestions and submissions (although there is no guarantee I will publish everything).

Without further ado, let me start off by saying that among my biggest kinks are cumshots (males) and squirting (females).  There's nothing like having cum and/or squirt shot all over your body in my opinion.  So, to help demonstrate, here's a nice video I hope you enjoy:

Wish I could've join in the fun with Flower Tucci and Sergio.

Happy orgasms everyone!
